the environment fund goes towards...
- Funding SSMU club initiatives aimed at improving or promoting sustainability
- Funding Environment Committee initiatives
- Paying various environment staff positions in SSMU, including Campus Club Coordinators and Commissioners
ACCESSING SSMU ENVIRONMENT FUNDING
Clubs and SSMU members have two options to apply for Environment Fund financing:
- SSMU funding process
- Environment Committee funding
Please note: To access Environment Fund financing through EC, you must be an EC member, and the project you are funding must be an EC sanctioned project voted on by Committee members. You can learn more about the process through the Projects/Funding Request Form.
1. SSMU FUNDING PROCESS
SSMU Clubs can apply for funding to support their student-focused activities. Environment Fund financing can be accessed through this process. If your club does not have representation on the Environment Committee, this is the option you should select to pursue sustainability-related funding from SSMU.
2. ENvironment committee funding
Environment Committee (EC) members can access Environment Fund financing for officially sanctioned EC projects. When you apply for financing through this process, you simultaneously apply to have your project be EC-sanctioned, and for the funding you are requesting.
